Adrian and his team are passionate about producing some of the best food in the area. Whether it’s a simple bar meal or 3 courses in The Dining Room, our team have exacting standards. Using seasonal and local ingredients, our in-house restaurant The Dining Room is fast becoming loved by hotel guests and locals alike. With our Dining Room and Bar menus, as well as daily specials to choose from, there’s a fantastic meal for everyone in an informal relaxed atmosphere with stunning views out toward Bassenthwaite Lake.

DRINKS

SPARKLING

Prosecco –  Amori

A gentle easy-going sparkler from north eastern Italy it is a hugely enjoyable everyday drinking wine ideally served as an aperitif. (Italy)

PROSECCO –  T’iamo (Single Serve 187 bottle)

Pale light yellow colour, with fine perlage. Delicately fruity, slightly aromatic bouquet. Well balanced and light body. Harmonious on the palate. Put a bit of sparkle in your life! (Italy)

WHITE WINES

VIURA – MORADOR BLANCO

100% Viura, Spain’s answer to Chardonnay with plenty of well-balanced acidity.  (Spain – 12.0% ABV)

SAUVIGNON BLANC – AVES DEL SUR

Fresh and clean with typical varietal flavours of cut grass and asparagus (Chilie, 12.0% ABV)

VIOGNIER – DOMAINE DU BOSC

Delicate flowery, fruity nose with sift ripe fruits on the palate. As Viognier should be: full-bodied, fragrant and rich with a flash of apricot and peach and a good finish. (South Africa)

CHENIN BLANC – DRAGONFLY

A lively, tangy white. Nutty hints combine with ripe, tropical fruit and ripe apple providing a broad spectrum of flavours. (South Africa)

Riesling – Paparuda

Lime and white pepper on the nose, a light, elegant wine full of citrus fruit backed up by a zingy acidity. Emenantly quaffable with well defined fruit and great balance. (Romania)

RED WINES

LA LEJANIA CAB SAUVIGNON

An attractive wine full of blackcurrant and bramble fruits with a full to medium-bodied palate. Compliments most red meat dishes. (Chile – 13.0%vol)

Merlot Domaine de Cibadies

Lovely deep-coloured Merlot full of woodland fruits and light tannins; this wine is drinking seriously well right now. (France – 13.0%vol)

ROSE WINES

GARNACHA ROSADO – MORADOR

Intense and clean nose, full of fruit aromas, with a balanced finish. (Spain, 12.0% ABV)

WHITE ZINFANDEL BLUSH – TRACTOR JACK

Light fruity Rose bursting with strawberry. Medium sweet and thirst quenching (California, 10.5% ABV)
